Escape Mana

Mangusta 108' - 33 metre motor yacht full yacht wrapping project.

Early in 2021, we were commissioned to wrap a Mangusta 108’ (33 metre) motor yacht. The wrapping work took place in Golfe Juan on the French Cote d’Azur at Rodriguez Shipyard.

The new owner wanted to completely change the look of the boat from its original white with blue stripes, to an all-new silver finish, with graphite grey accent stripes.

We took the decision with the owner to select 3M 1080 series wrapping film in ‘Gloss White Aluminium’ which is very light silver and reflects the light beautifully, giving the yacht a modern sleek finish. The way the sunlight is reflected from the surface of the water is especially enchanting. This can be seen in some of the photographs in the slideshow below.

Being a somewhat large motor yacht at 33 metres, ‘Escape Mana’ was a considerable project for us to take on. Especially as she had to be completely wrapped; that is to say all of the superstructure, the hull, stern, steps, garage door, swim platform, etc.

Despite the heavy workload of the project, we were able to finish the entire job within the three-week window which had been set by the owner. Yard time is precious in the month of May on the French Riviera, so we were compelled to finish on time, and on budget, so that the vessel could go back to the water to start her season.

We successfully completed the works on the 28th of May, and the yacht was able to sail to start the season with her proud new owner.

The boat was called EOL previously, and she is quite well known in the eastern Mediterranean. Many experienced skippers know the boat and while we were working on her we had a lot of interest from other yacht crew in and around the yard. It has to be said she has attracted a lot of admiration since she was completed also.
